Community Benefits

The proposed Windy Plains REP will offer both direct and indirect benefits for the local community, including:

Employment Opportunities
Jobs during construction and the operational phases of the project.

Economic Growth
Local businesses can benefit from supplying products, materials, and services.

Community Fund
Once operational, a portion of the project’s revenue is proposed to be dedicated toward local community initiatives and organisations, creating a positive and lasting impact in the region.

We welcome your interest and participation as the project progresses!

Open Day, 13th August

Thank you to everyone who joined us at our recent community open day at The Supper Room in Julia Creek. The event was a great success, with strong attendance from local community members, McKinlay Shire Council.

We had many productive conversations about the Windy Plains Renewable Energy Park and heard valuable feedback on how the project can deliver real benefits back to the community.

This was just the first of many opportunities to connect – future open days and engagement sessions will be held as the project progresses. In the meantime, if you weren’t able to attend and would like more information or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team.
